When not at sea, U.S. Merchant Marine Joey Gallo lives at the Inn on Jack London Square where he's resided the past eight years. “I’m living the transient lifestyle of an itinerant merchant seaman. So that’s why I’m here,” he says, adding, “And it’s close to the union hall.
